THE KOKI began as Kōki Gifts & Homeware, born from a love of Japanese craftsmanship and the quiet beauty found in everyday objects. As we grew, we realised our inspiration went beyond gifting—it was about how a simple cup or a beautifully crafted bowl could bring warmth to an ordinary moment. Today, THE KOKI is a curated lifestyle store seeking out pieces that bring together beauty, functionality, and connection.

What is The KOKI? 

The KOKI finds its roots in two Japanese characters:

·       光 (Kō) — light, brilliance, subtle elegance

·       器 (Ki) — vessel

Together, 光の器 (Vessel of Light) represents our belief that everyday objects carry more than their practical purpose—they carry warmth, memories, and meaning into our lives. A cup can hold tea, but it can also hold a quiet moment. A bowl can serve a meal, but it can also become part of a gathering.

Our Philosophy
